Bridal Beauty Checklist for Salisbury Brides
Planning a wedding is exciting, overwhelming, and beautiful all at once. Between venues, florists, photographers, and table plans, it is easy for your own beauty preparation to slip down the list. But here is the thing — you are going to be photographed more on your wedding day than any other day of your life. The way you look and feel matters, and it deserves a proper plan.
Whether you are getting married at Salisbury Cathedral, a country house in the Wiltshire countryside, or a barn venue in the surrounding villages, this bridal beauty checklist will guide you from six months before your wedding right through to the morning of the big day.
Six Months Before the Wedding
This is when the groundwork begins. The treatments you have now set the foundation for everything that follows.
Establish Your Skincare Routine
If you do not already have a consistent skincare routine, now is the time to start one. Cleanse, moisturise, and apply SPF every single day. Your wedding-day skin is built over months, not days.
Consider booking an initial facial consultation with us. We can assess your skin, identify any concerns — whether that is dullness, breakouts, pigmentation, or fine lines — and recommend a treatment plan that gets your skin in the best possible condition by your wedding date.
Start a Monthly Facial Programme
Monthly facials from six months out give your skin time to respond, improve, and stabilise. Depending on your skin type, we might recommend our Advanced Facial Treatments for an all-round radiance boost, oily and congested skin treatments if you are prone to congestion, or The Hydra Infusion if your skin tends towards dryness.
A course of regular professional facials does what no amount of home skincare can achieve on its own. Your skin will be clearer, smoother, and more even-toned — the perfect canvas for your wedding makeup.
Trial Your Lashes and Brows
Six months out is the ideal time to start trialling your lash and brow looks. A lash lift and tint gives beautifully curled, defined natural lashes that need no upkeep and photograph wonderfully. Trying it now means you know exactly how your lashes take the lift, and how the timing fits your wedding countdown (each lift lasts six to eight weeks).
The same goes for brows. Try a brow lamination or a brow wax and shape to find the look that frames your face perfectly in photos.
Starting early means you can experiment without any pressure and arrive at your wedding day knowing exactly what works for you.
Three Months Before the Wedding
By this stage, your skin should be responding well to your facial routine. Now it is time to refine and add treatments.
Consider Advanced Skin Treatments
If you want to address specific concerns like fine lines, uneven texture, or dull skin, three months out is the right time to introduce targeted Advanced Facial Treatments — RF skin tightening with the Anti Ageing Facial, a skin detox with The Clear Complexion, or needle-free Lip & Eye rejuvenation for the features every wedding photo captures.
These treatments require some recovery time and often deliver their best results after a short course, so starting at the three-month mark gives you enough sessions to see real improvement without cutting it too fine.
Lock In Your Lash and Brow Style
By now you should know which lash and brow look you want for the wedding. Confirm your choices so there are no surprises closer to the day, and map your final lash lift and brow appointments backwards from the wedding date so both are at their freshest on the day.
Book Your Bridal Nail Trials
If you are having a manicure or your nails done for the wedding, trial your colours and styles now. You will want to see how different shades look against your ring, your dress, and your skin tone. A trial also helps you figure out the ideal nail shape and length.
One Month Before the Wedding
The countdown is on. This is when everything comes together.
Final Facial Treatment
Book your final pre-wedding facial for around two to three weeks before the big day. This gives your skin time to settle after the treatment while still benefiting from the glow. We recommend our Advanced Facial Treatments for a radiant, healthy finish, or our tailored treatments for mature skin if you want lifting and firming effects.
Avoid trying any brand-new treatments this close to the wedding. Stick with what your skin knows and loves.
Brow Appointment
Have your brows shaped and tinted two to three weeks before the wedding. This allows time for any minor redness to settle and for the tint to soften slightly into its most natural-looking shade.
Sort Out Your Nail Plan
Decide on your final nail colour and book your wedding manicure for two to three days before the wedding. A manicure stays chip-free and glossy throughout the wedding and honeymoon. And do not forget your feet — our gel polish pedicure (£40) keeps your toes as polished as your ring hand, and they will thank you after a day in heels. Browse all nail treatments here.
One Week Before the Wedding
Nearly there. This week is about maintenance and final touches.
Your Lash Lift
Book your lash lift and tint for around one week before the wedding. That gives you beautifully curled, defined natural lashes at their absolute freshest on the day — with no upkeep required, and nothing to worry about when the happy tears arrive (they will).
Do allow for your patch test — it takes ten minutes and needs to be done at least 48 hours before your lash lift.
The Final Glow
The Glow Express five to seven days before the wedding — a 45-minute HydroDiamond oxygen facial — clears away dead skin cells and refines surface texture, leaving your skin impossibly smooth. Your wedding makeup will glide on like silk and sit flawlessly all day.
Rest and Hydrate
This is not a beauty treatment, but it matters as much as anything on this list. Drink plenty of water, get as much sleep as you can, and try to manage stress. Your skin reflects everything that is happening inside your body.
Two to Three Days Before
Wedding Manicure and Pedicure
Have your nails done now. Gel polish lasts beautifully, so doing it two to three days ahead means your nails look perfect on the day without the stress of a same-day appointment.
Final Check
Look at yourself in the mirror. Your skin is glowing from months of professional care. Your brows are perfectly shaped. Your lashes are full and beautiful. Your nails are flawless. Everything is in place.
The Wedding Day
This morning is about enjoying the process, not scrambling to fix things. If you have followed this checklist, you can relax knowing that every element of your beauty preparation has been taken care of.
Your makeup artist has the perfect canvas to work with. Your lashes frame your eyes without needing a single coat of mascara. Your nails look immaculate in every ring photo. And your skin has that unmistakable, lit-from-within glow that only comes from months of genuine care.
Do Not Forget Your Bridal Party
Your bridesmaids and the mother of the bride deserve to feel special too. Consider booking group treatments in the weeks before the wedding — a facial and nail session together makes for a wonderful pre-wedding bonding experience. Many of our treatments can be booked as group sessions, so everyone arrives at the wedding feeling pampered and confident.
